How does Eumovate cream/ointment work?
When your skin is exposed to an allergen, your immune system responds by releasing inflammatory chemicals that trigger your blood vessels to widen which causes itching, swelling, and discomfort.
When you apply Eumovate cream or ointment, the active ingredient clobetasone is absorbed in the skin cells. It stops the release of large quantities of inflammatory chemicals released by the immune system.
This reduces swelling, itching, redness, and further scratching.
