What is Colofac and how does it work?

Colofac tablets 135mg is an antispasmodics treatment used to treat Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS), chronic irritable colon, spastic colitis, mucous colitis, and spastic constipation.

Coclofac works by relaxing the muscles in the gut, thereby relieving the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.

It contains an active ingredient known as mebeverine. Food passes through the intestine for digestion, when you have spams and the intestine squeezes tightly, you feel pain.

Mebeverine works by relaxing the smooth muscles of your intestine, enabling your stomach to continue working effectively. The treatment relieves symptoms such as flatulence, abdominal pain, cramps, and diarrhea.

Mebeverine is highly effective since in 1 to 3 hours you will begin to feel the effectiveness of the treatment. Colofac is available in Ashcroft pharmacy as a normal-release colofac tablet and a modified-release capsule.
